Vacancy on ATRS Board - Applications Welcome.
A vacancy for Trustee Position #6 – Administrator (Superintendent) occurred on the ATRS Board on July 1, 2019. The ATRS Board of Trustees has authority to appoint a successor Trustee by majority vote of the Board of Trustees. The ATRS Board voted at a special called telephonic meeting on July 8, 2019 to take applications from qualified members to fill the vacancy by appointment. The ATRS Board intends to fill the vacancy with an appointment through June 30, 2021.
To be eligible, the candidate must be an active member with five or more years of service or a T-DROP member who is accruing monthly deposits. The candidate must be employed in a position requiring an administrator's license as a superintendent or an educational cooperative director. This trustee may be employed by any participating ATRS employer. The Board has set a deadline of August 30, 2019 for applications of qualified members to be submitted to ATRS. The ATRS Board intends to take up the appointment at a special called meeting in September, 2019.

The ATRS Board and ATRS staff acknowledge the dedicated service of Jeff Stubblefield on the ATRS Board. Mr. Stubblefield resigned from the Board, effective July 1, 2019, due to his recent retirement. The ATRS Board and staff wish Mr. Stubblefield well in the future.
